My son, the Geek

If you've been following along the past week, and if you've read my profile, you may have asked yourself whatever happened to my second child. Or maybe not, but I'll tell you anyway. He's a Geek. I say this not to be mean, but because he is, and by his own admission. He would be offended if you referred to him as a Nerd, because, he says, they're a completely different species than Geeks. I, myself, am not too clear as to the differences, except that Nerds have pockets on their shirts and Geeks do not...or something to that effect.
Another thing I have learned about Geeks is that they prefer bacon to sausage, and speak in some foreign language that they call leet speak. I call it weird, but what do I know? I'm just the mom.

Aside from being a Geek, he's also been referred to as a Grammar Nazi by his online cohorts. He will, and does, correct any mis-formed sentence that comes out of your mouth (or fingers, should you be online.) In fact, the friends who labeled him were corrected immediately for not capitalizing Grammar Nazi, as Geek-boy says it's a formal title, therefore one must capitalize. Hmmm...well, whatever.

What a handsome man Grammar Nazi is! He should hold his title proudly. And, please don't ever let him read my posts! They would probably send him to his geek grave.

LOL, you may be right about that! Then again, the boy wears pooh pajama bottoms...and has told us that embarrassment is a wasted emotion. He not only rides the shopping cart through stores, he'll pick up huge stuffed animals and holler across the isle as loudly as he can, "Daddy, can I have one!"

Yup, that's my geeky grammar boy!

Aye, he's correct. It should be capitalized. ;)
