Another reason I'm not fond of SNOW...

This would be why I'm not thrilled with winter weather. Look at my poor baby out there! It would appear I just leave her to stand in the muck all day, but that's not so. With the snow, ice, and second layer of snow, her poop froze solid and then was buried, so no way to clean it up. Now that we're back to or northWET rain, the piles of poop have turned to mush and the ice is beginning to melt, leaving Quiet Storm standing in what would appear to be quite the neglected state. Sigh...
We adopted Quiet Storm last year (seems funny to call 2006 last year!) while we were in Spokane. She'll become ours officially in late May of this year. BLM adoptions require that you care for the animal for a year before receiving title to them, which they hope will prevent people from snagging up bunches of them and hauling them straight off to slaughter. Some folks get all wigged out about the 'Big Brother' aspect of being checked up on, but I figure these horses deserve to be in homes where they're being taken care of, don't you? I mean...any horse does, really.

What a beautiful baby! How exciting that she'll officially be yours in May.
