I'm such a Rebel!

Yeah…that’s me. A rebel! A rebel without a cause!

I cannot even tell you what a shock it was to see that my blog had been suspended. And the only way for me to contact them is via email, leaving me at their mercy in regards to when they’ll get to me. Kind of like when you call the dr and they say, on a recorded message, “Your call is very important to us, please hold until the next available operator.” And of course, you hold and hold and hold…and pretty soon you’re crossing your legs because now it’s not just the phone that you find yourself holding. Except that with email I don’t have to worry if someone hears me flushing while they’re coming on the line.

It would appear that Wordpress was concerned with the Bucking Lamb blog I had there. It violated the terms of service because it appeared to be there for one reason only; to sell things!

Shame on me, thinking I could sell stuff on the internet. Shame, shame, shame. I’m hanging my head…see? Shame.

So to rectify the situation, they suggested I put some other content in it. Okay, I can do that.

But in the meantime, they’ve also suspended my Carpenter Creek blog, and while they restored the offending blog, they’ve so far done nothing to help my poor little innocent farm blog. And what’s more…it’s Winsday! How can I have a contest for you when they’ve taken my blog away today???

I am waiting…not terribly patiently…for it to come back up. In the meantime, I’m so happy that some of you are finding your way over here to blogger again (and thankful that blogger is once again allowing me to post.)

Obviously I never discard ANYthing. I still had the link to your Blogger site.

When I tried to find you on Wordpress and got the "suspended" message I wondered just what naughty thing you'd done you rebel you.

Yep the free WP (free version not used with a hosting package) doesn't allow selling or anything that even looks like selling on their free blogs.

I host mine through my hosting provider so I can sell if I want to. I do. :-)

Glad that you're up on Blogger.

That is SOOOO Bizarre - I'm glad i hadn't gotten rid of this link on Bloglines yet!!!!

and you know what? I use typepad - the cheap version, it's only $4.95 a month - really....that is like giving up one caramel macchiato (which I don't drink anyway). I don't know if they allow you to sell stuff though - it never even crossed my mind that you couldn't.

I looked at Typepad, Karmyn, and seriously considered it. But then the thought crossed my mind...'what if I'm not happy with it and want to switch?' And then I've paid the $$ already.

Anyhooo...looks like my cafe press link is fine, so I'm not going to worry about it.

AND...I'm back up again on Wordpress as of this afternoon!

I wonder why they make it so difficult? What were you selling...soaps? I guess if it were something illegal like doaps it might be offensive...LOL
I'm glad you made your way back.
Not blogging much these days, but I always enjoy visiting your blog.
You are a great writer too!

How frustrating and stupid. It's not like you're selling porn or something! Gads.

I voted again and will continue to do so and good luck!

Hey Hon! I know people who had LJ blogs ditched, 'cause of some Interest they had listed on their Profile Page. And hey, this the one I know is the sweetest guy in the world. How in h _ _ l anyone thought he had *objectionable* Interests is silly. He also got mad enough to dump his LJ account!

So your little ol' selling *conviction* is small potatoes.

Actually, I first thought that something had objected to your pics of tees!! -evil gigggles- At least that would have been funnier than..... -gasp- selling! lol.
